Mukti is a dynamic student-led Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) community at Bangalore, founded with the aim of fostering collaboration, learning, and innovation in the tech space. It is also the largest FOSS community in Karnataka, with a pan - India presence.
The community has made a significant impact, helping over 1,200 students and working on more than 60 real-world projects addressing critical issues.
Mukti has partnered with major tech companies, enabling over 200 students to secure valuable internships. The community regularly conducts workshops on a variety of topics, including penetration testing, secure coding, version control, and the importance of FOSS for students. Mukti has also built strong connections with renowned institutions like the Indian Institute of Science and the Indian Institutes of Technology, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaboration.
The work of Mukti members has led to the publication of white papers and research projects accepted at prominent international conferences, underscoring its commitment to fostering a strong culture of learning and innovation.
