We are looking for someone chronically online and fluent in internet culture to come join our team at FOSS United as a Campaigns and Advocacy Intern. Details of the role are listed below. Use the form towards the end to send in your application.


Key responsibilities

  1. Support FOSS United’s campaigns:
  2. Ideate, craft, and design crisp campaign messaging and creatives for various FU campaigns like (Forklore, IndiaRunsOnFOSS, FOSS101 and more)
  3. Help manage FOSS United’s online presence across various platforms
  4. Help shape the discourse around free and open source software in India
  5. Contribute to FOSS United’s programs and events
  6. Contribute to FOSS United’s flagship events - IndiaFOSS, FOSSHack, etc.
  7. Assist with programming efforts around community meetups and partner events.

Who we are looking for

  1. 0-1 year of experience doing this
  2. Good creative writing skills and a sense of humour.
  3. Knowledge of a regional language is a plus
  4. Light video-making/editing skills would be a massive plus
  5. Brownie points if you are chronically online and knee deep into internet culture.
  6. And most importantly, you know how to have fun with the tasks at hand!

  2. Location: Remote/Hybrid
  3. Duration: 3 months (ideally starting April 2026) with the possibility of extension into a fellowship on review
  4. Stipend: INR 15k/month
  5. Deadline: March 25 (applications reviewed on a rolling basis)
