We are looking for someone chronically online and fluent in internet culture to come join our team at FOSS United as a Campaigns and Advocacy Intern. Details of the role are listed below. Use the form towards the end to send in your application.
Key responsibilities
- Support FOSS United’s campaigns:
- Ideate, craft, and design crisp campaign messaging and creatives for various FU campaigns like (Forklore, IndiaRunsOnFOSS, FOSS101 and more)
- Help manage FOSS United’s online presence across various platforms
- Help shape the discourse around free and open source software in India
- Contribute to FOSS United’s programs and events
- Contribute to FOSS United’s flagship events - IndiaFOSS, FOSSHack, etc.
- Assist with programming efforts around community meetups and partner events.
Who we are looking for
- 0-1 year of experience doing this
- Good creative writing skills and a sense of humour.
- Knowledge of a regional language is a plus
- Light video-making/editing skills would be a massive plus
- Brownie points if you are chronically online and knee deep into internet culture.
- And most importantly, you know how to have fun with the tasks at hand!

- Duration: 3 months (ideally starting April 2026) with the possibility of extension into a fellowship on review
- Stipend: INR 15k/month
