About the Project
The FOSS United Platform is built using the Frappe Framework (Python + JavaScript). It powers community events, hackathons, RSVPs, and member profiles across India.
My Objective
As part of FOSS Hack 2026, I will contribute to the existing FOSS United Platform by resolving issues labeled “FOSS Hack” and improving platform quality.
Approach
Set up the development environment using Docker + Frappe
Understand the DocType-based architecture and project structure
Identify impactful issues tagged “FOSS Hack”
Follow proper Git workflow (fork → branch → PR)
Write meaningful commit messages using Conventional Commits
Ensure code quality, testing, and documentation before submitting PRs
Expected Impact
Improved platform usability and accessibility
More stable and maintainable codebase
Better documentation for future contributors
Stronger support for the FOSS United community platform
