The FOSS United Club – United Institute of Technology (UIT) is a student-led initiative under the guidance of the FOSS United Foundation.
Our mission is to promote Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) by fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and contribution within the campus community.
🔹 What we do:
Organize awareness sessions on FOSS philosophy, tools, and practices
Conduct hands-on technical workshops (Linux, Git, Python, Web Dev, AI/ML, etc.)
Encourage open-source contributions through events like Hacktoberfest and sprints
Collaborate with developer communities (IEEE, GDG, GFG, FlutterFlow)
Promote inclusivity and diversity with initiatives supporting Women in Tech
Through the UIT chapter, students will gain the opportunity to explore open technologies, contribute to real-world projects, and be part of a global open-source movement.
