The talk will start with first showcasing the existing app architecture. Then I will talk about the scaling needs and how they were achieved. Next I will showcase the problems scaling the architecture created - specifically the application level issues related to websocket connectivity. Next I will explain how I introduced Kafka as a service layer across Kubernetes clusters to fix the issues. Later on I will explain how introducing Kafka helped us scale even further, towards multi Cloud. Basically, it will show the attendees how the architecture scaled from a single cluster to multi-cloud multi-cluster and the role of Kafka in it, specifically to solve App issues related to websocket connectivity.
