Vim Editor: My Journey to the South

Approved
Session Description

In this session, I will share my personal journey with the Vim text editor—how I started, the motivations behind my choice, and the challenges I faced along the way. I’ll discuss the pivotal moments that shaped my experience, including the numerous times I felt like quitting and how each setback ultimately made me a better programmer.

We will dive into a hands-on portion where I’ll guide you through setting up Neovim, complete with an AstroNvim config boilerplate. Together, we’ll code a simple C program, demonstrating the power and flexibility of this powerful editor.

To wrap up, I’ll open the floor for FAQs and discussion, allowing you to ask questions about Vim, programming, or my journey.
