Kidney damage symptoms may appear gradually and are often difficult to notice in the early stages. The kidneys play an essential role in filtering waste, removing excess fluids, and maintaining the body’s balance of minerals. When the kidneys become damaged, these important functions are affected, which can lead to various health problems.

One of the most common kidney damage symptoms is a change in urination. This may include frequent urination, reduced urine output, or foamy and bubbly urine. Swelling in the feet, ankles, hands, or face may also occur because the kidneys are unable to remove extra fluid from the body.

People with kidney damage may also feel tired or weak due to the buildup of toxins in the blood. Other symptoms can include nausea, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, and difficulty concentrating. High blood pressure is also commonly linked to kidney problems. Recognizing these symptoms early can help prevent further kidney damage and support better kidney health.
