About

Akshansh Jaiswal is a Senior Security Engineer and vulnerability researcher with over five years of experience across application, product, and cloud security. Currently a Lead Security Engineer at Atlan, he focuses on vulnerability research, malware analysis, and building AI-augmented detection and triage pipelines that scale security review across engineering teams. Previously, at CRED, he led end-to-end product security for 20+ high-scale applications driving threat modeling, secure code review, and secure-by-default rollouts across the SDLC.

His research centers on the WordPress ecosystem reverse-engineering plugins and themes, dissecting obfuscated PHP malware and webshells, and hunting web-borne threats such as XSS, DOM XSS, injection, and account takeover. He has reported 250+ vulnerabilities across programs including Google, Amazon, AWS, Snowflake, and Pingsafe on HackerOne, Bugcrowd, YesWeHack, and Synack, and has published research on Facebook OAuth misconfiguration. He holds the OSWE and OSCP certifications and a B.E. in Computer Engineering from I²IT, Pune.

Beyond his day job, Akshansh is deeply invested in the security community. He leads the HackerOne Bangalore chapter, where he has organized 20+ events on hacking, AppSec, and bug bounty, and served on the Bug Bounty Village 2025 core team. He has spoken at Black Hat Arsenal (USA, Asia, and Europe), ThreatCon, and the Red Team Village at HacktivityCon on topics ranging from mobile and web exploitation to attacks against the modern AI stack. He also maintains open-source projects Patronus, a dockerized SDLC security framework, and the intentionally vulnerable Vuldroid and DVBA training apps reflecting his belief that shared tooling and open research are how the security community gets stronger.
