Hero
India's Digital Commons runs on people, not just code.
FOSS United connects the people building, maintaining, and depending on India's FOSS & Digital Commons — through events, grants, and campaigns.
The people behind India's FOSS & Digital Commons.
400+ volunteers, 70 FOSS clubs, and a foundation that exists to connect them all.
One foundation. Three ways we hold the ecosystem together.
FOSS United in numbers
Across 28 cities, 70 FOSS clubs and community chapters have organised 650+ events. We've put ₹1Cr+ back into the ecosystem as grants, and 400+ volunteers keep showing up to make it happen — for no pay, and mostly for each other. The flagship IndiaFOSS drew 2,500 attendees, and FOSS Hack pulled in 5,000+ participants building 800 projects for ₹10L in prizes. 50 diversity scholars had their way paid, no questions asked.
