Key responsibilities

• Manage FOSS United’s flagship events: Ideate, plan, and execute FOSSHack and IndiaFOSS by acting as the primary point of contact. You’ll work with volunteers, co-chairs and the full-time staff to make sure things don’t burn to the ground.

• Support FOSS United Community events: Provide end-to-end operational directions and support to community events (City Chapters, Clubs, community partner events). You'll also manage quarterly/monthly community update calls.

• On-ground support: While most of our events will be managed online, you will have opportunities to travel occasionally to support events in person. Who we are looking for

• 0-2 years of experience in community building, hosting events and conferences.

• Strong writing skills, lots of patience and fingers crossed a good sense of humour.

• Understanding of the technological landscape and the free and open source philosophies is a plus.

• You enjoy bringing smart people together, and a little bit of travel while at it.

• And most importantly, you know how to have fun with the tasks at hand!
