Description

KaushalID is a digital public infrastructure platform designed to create a portable and verifiable skill identity for India’s informal workforce. Despite contributing nearly 80–90% of total employment, informal workers lack standardized documentation of their skills and work experience. This limits their access to better job opportunities, financial services, and government benefits.

KaushalID introduces a Digital Skill Passport that securely records a worker’s abilities, verified experience, certifications, employer feedback, and job history in one structured profile. Workers can register through a simple mobile interface or assisted centers, and their skills can be validated through assessments, certified partners, or employer verification.

The platform enables consent-based sharing of verified skill data with MSMEs, employers, financial institutions, and government bodies. By transforming informal experience into trusted digital credentials, KaushalID improves hiring transparency, reduces recruitment inefficiencies, supports data-backed credit evaluation, and enhances economic mobility.

KaushalID is not just a job platform—it is a governance-tech solution aimed at formalizing opportunity, strengthening financial inclusion, and building India’s skill identity infrastructure for long-term socio-economic impact.
