Field archivists come back with 500 randomly named audio files. This tool fixes that.
I'm building a simple offline tool for people who document endangered and tribal languages. When archivists come back from fieldwork they have hundreds of files with random names like rec_final2.mp3 or IMG_4821.jpg. There's no easy way to organise them. This tool lets you open a folder, preview each file, add tags and notes, and rename everything in bulk using a proper naming pattern. It runs entirely in your browser as a single HTML file — no internet, no account, no installation needed. Built for the OpenSpeaks Archives community who explicitly requested this tool for their language documentation workflows.
