Arka is an AI-powered platform that transforms plain language into professional Mermaid diagrams with conversational refinement.
Arka is a generative Diagram-as-Code copilot designed to convert natural language — including Hinglish — into structured, editable Mermaid diagrams in real time. The platform addresses the long-standing friction in technical diagram creation, where users must either manually design visuals or learn complex diagram syntax.
At its core, Arka leverages the Sarvam-M text model to interpret user intent and generate production-ready Mermaid Domain Specific Language (DSL). This structured output is then dynamically rendered into SVG diagrams using Mermaid.js, enabling users to instantly visualize system flows, architectures, charts, and process diagrams.
Unlike traditional AI image generators that produce static visuals, Arka introduces a conversational refinement pipeline. Users can iteratively modify their diagrams through natural language prompts, allowing surgical updates to the existing Mermaid code rather than regenerating diagrams from scratch. This transforms diagram creation into an interactive engineering workflow rather than a one-shot generation task.
The platform follows a serverless, stateless architecture, ensuring scalability, low latency, and efficient resource utilization. Firebase-based authentication secures user access, while a lightweight frontend provides a responsive workspace for real-time diagram rendering.
Currently, Arka supports 14+ diagram types, including flowcharts, block diagrams, bar charts, pie charts, and system flows. The project is designed as the foundation of a broader Arka ecosystem, which will expand into additional AI productivity copilots such as YouTube lecture note generation, mind map creation, PPT generation, and legal assistance tools — all powered by the same structured-generation philosophy.
Vision: Arka aims to become a unified AI workspace for structured visual and productivity generation, making professional diagramming and knowledge structuring faster, more accessible, and cost-efficient for developers, students, and teams.
