Wrocław-transit named after the Polish city of Wrocław, where an anarchist group organised to make the transit system more accessible through essentially city subsidised no cost fares to help fight climate change, is a project to organise a community effort make public transit systems especially in India which are failing for whatever reason to adopt modern technology that allows public transit to be more open, and thus available to everyone, Wrocław aims to act as an instance groups can deploy with (or without permission) from the city transit authority, with an instance allowing contributors to share their current locations (from within transit options) and then deliver this information to all subscribes to other through the GTFS standard.
This allows an easy, scalable, mass deployable, solution to share information regarding train positions, share rickshaw availability, or Bus Data analysis.
This project will hopefully help push forward Transit Authorities to adopt a super simple solution to ease the transition to (hopefully) an eventually more robust commercial (and hopefully!) open source solution without having to rely upon their ridership having to pull the slack!
