A lightweight, offline-first decentralized social media platform based on Mastodon, allowing users to connect in a local network without a central authority.
Social media should be owned by its users, not controlled by centralized corporations. This project builds on Mastodon’s open-source foundation to create an offline-first, local-first decentralized social media platform.
No Central Authority: Users in a local network (LAN/Wi-Fi) can create posts, follow others, and engage in discussions without needing a central server.
P2P Connectivity: Uses local networking (such as WebRTC or Bluetooth) to sync messages and updates.
Seamless Online Syncing: When online, nodes can federate with the Mastodon network for wider reach.
Monetization by Community: Instead of corporate-controlled subscriptions, communities can introduce their own monetization strategies via crowdfunding, tipping, or tokenized rewards.
Privacy-first: No ads, no data tracking.
Works in Offline Mode: Great for events, local meetups, or areas with unstable internet.
Empowers Users: No external moderation or algorithmic manipulation. Communities decide what stays.
