RideShare

RideShare is an innovative web application aimed at fostering a community of people who share rides within a university campus or popular office spaces it pairs overlapping users based on their pick up and dropping points near 2 wheeler rental shops. By leveraging Supabase for backend services and Nextjs , CampusRide provides a robust platform where students can offer or request rides, significantly cutting down travel expenses and reducing the campus's carbon footprint.

How it works:

Scenario 1:

Rahul and Mukesh both live in Abode Valley.

Rahul’s class starts at 12 PM, and Mukesh’s class ends at the same time.

Rahul needs to go to campus while Mukesh needs to return home. They both use RideShare, enter their pickup and drop-off locations, and our app pairs them perfectly.

Rahul rents a two-wheeler, rides to the campus, and hands it to Mukesh, who rides it back to Abode Valley. This takes about 30 minutes and costs just 50 INR, split between them. Rahul saves on rental costs during his class, and Mukesh enjoys a cheap ride home.

Scenario 2: Raj and Neha's Office Commute

Raj and Neha both live in Green Meadows and work at Tech Park.

Raj's shift starts at 9 AM, and Neha's ends at 9 AM. Every day, they awkwardly wave at each other as they pass by, thinking, "Why am I paying for a full ride when we could just share?"

With RideShare, Raj and Neha finally solve this daily dilemma. Raj offers a ride to Tech Park, starting from Green Meadows at 8:30 AM. Neha, finishing her night shift at 9 AM, hops onto the same two-wheeler for a ride back to Green Meadows. They split the cost, saving money and time.
