Bunkmate is a smart attendance management tool that allows students to track and anticipate the amount of classes they can safely miss in a semester. Your schedule, the start and end dates of the semester, and the desired attendance % are all that you need to enter into the app; it will handle the rest. You only need to access the app when you've made the decision to skip a certain class. We have mechanisms in place to manage the most frequent edge cases, such as skipping a class, national holidays or extra classes on Saturdays.
The project consists of 3 components - The backend written in Django, a mobile app written in Flutter and a website written with React. During the course of this Hackathon we aim to rewrite parts of the Flutter app in order to better align with best practices as well as add a few new features to the backend making it easier for users to enter timetable details.
