ReportI am a developer from India, an independent software engineer and open source maintainer building low latency media systems and developer tools. I'm the lead maintainer of Sync.audio, an open-source zero-hardware silent audio broadcasting protocol for Smart TV and web runtimes. I want to create sub-50ms web audio and web socket streaming standards for multi-user personal listening without dedicated hardware splitters or dongles.
Sync.audio
Sync.audio is a local-first low-latency silent audio broadcasting engine for Smart TVs (Fire OS / Vega OS) and web browsers, MIT licensed. It records audio from host media streams using AudioWorklet background threads and sends binary PCM chunks to client mobile devices via WebSockets. Clients run audio in custom Web Audio player worklets, providing real-time lip-sync calibration, sub-50ms latency telemetry, and zero-hardware setup without any native app installs. This grant will pay for core DSP engine optimisation, low level TV platform web shell integration, dynamic lip-sync drift calibration, domain, hosting and public maintainer documentation.
Sync.audio Milestone 1: Core Engine & DSP Pipeline (Month 1)
Month 1 Milestone: Core Web Audio DSP pipeline, native media engine integration, AudioWorklet raw PCM buffer processing, Bun/Node WebSocket signaling relay, and sub-50ms telemetry monitoring. INR 80,000.
Sync.audio Milestone 2: Low-Level Smart TV Shell & Calibration (Month 2)
Month 2 Milestone: Smart TV web shell optimization (Fire OS / Vega OS), D-pad spatial remote navigation, dynamic lip-sync DelayNode drift calibration, and public maintainer setup documentation. INR 80,000.
