Report

Backend/full-stack developer based in India, maintaining open-source Apache Flink tooling solo alongside full-time employment: a Flink SQL connector for Qdrant (the only one that exists) and an MCP server that lets AI assistants operate Flink clusters via natural language.

Projects

Apache Flink MCP Server

spdx:MIT

A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets AI assistants and LLMs interact with Apache Flink clusters through natural language: cluster/job monitoring, metrics, exception tracking, TaskManager resources, and multi-cluster support. No official or well-known MCP server exists for Flink; this fills that gap.

flink-connector-qdrant

spdx:Apache-2.0

A Flink SQL connector that writes streaming results directly into Qdrant, a widely-used vector database, with no custom DataStream job or hand-rolled client plumbing required. As of this writing, no official or well-known community Flink connector exists for Qdrant; this closes that gap with a proper dynamic table factory.

Funding Plans

Dedicated maintainer time

One-time · INR

Funding would go toward dedicated development time to close known gaps: write operations and a tested CI pipeline for apache-flink-mcp-server, and a lookup/source side plus stronger ordering guarantees for flink-connector-qdrant.
