Approved
Session Description

Everything runs on the internet even you are seeing this proposal on the internet but Internet is Censorable, people is power controls It. That's why we need uncensorable and secure network for the people.

So, suppose you are tracking with your friend in the mountains and you want to communicate with them but there is no internet, OK lets take a important example..

Suppose You live in a censorship and surveillance state and you want to communicate with the rest of the world, How would you do that as the Internet is already controlled by the state.

Or Maybe you want to setup a local network in your hostel and college Community to communicate with each other even without Internet

Through this talk I would like to showcase a way how people can communicate with each other in these conditions without any fear.

Reticulum is a total network stack that is built with resilience, autonomy and security in its core and it can be run over Radio, Bluetooth, Serial Lines, LORA and TCP/IP (Yes, the INTERNET). So basically you don't need a specialized device to run it, your phone is enough..

In this talk, I will first introduce audience to Mesh Networks and other projects like Meshtastic and MeshCore. And Explain why Reticulum differs from them.

Then I will introduce use and its terminology that is

  • Interfaces

  • Node

  • Propagated Nodes

  • LXMF Protocol

This talk will also have a practical session where I will show people how can they themselves use Reticulum through their Phone and Laptops.
