Build the Connector - Make Financial Data Outlive the App

Proposal status is Rejected
Session Description

Financial data becomes portable when another tool can interpret it correctly. A connector must preserve account identity, transaction meaning, dates, currencies, and source provenance while handling incomplete or inconsistent records. This workshop turns that engineering problem into a participant experience. Developers build a connector that turns a sample financial source into usable, testable context for downstream financial workflows.

Key Takeaways

The session gives developers working code, reusable tests, and a clear path to contribute. Financial portability supplies the larger purpose, while building and contributing the connector remains the central experience.

● Map source records into a documented financial data structure.

● Handle missing fields, duplicates, and inconsistent values.

● Test the connector and inspect its output.

● See an agent use the connected information.

● Package their work for contribution to the project.

Reviews

Thanks for the submission. Unfortunately we felt that this proposal was too short and lacked details like prerequisites, timing, and setup needed to evaluate a hands on workshop. Because slots are tight, we aren't able to offer a slot this time.
