Takşa Factory OS: An Open-Source “Factory OS” for a Unified Industrial Data Backbone enabling Global Industries to Run Autonomous Factories

Review Pending

Session Description

Manufacturing MSMEs want to use AI but AI is only as good as the data foundation underneath it.

Takşa Factory OSis being built as a world’s first open-source Factory OS: a single source of truth for industrial data that connects machines, sensors, and software into a Unified Namespace, so factory data is consistent, discoverable, and usable across the shop floor, MES/ERP, and analytics.

In this session, we’ll walk through the “data backbone” idea and why open standards matter for Industry 5.0 adoption at MSME scale.

We’ll cover Takşa’s core capabilities  edge analytics (process data where it’s created for low latency and reliability), and security by design and how these building blocks unlock practical AI use-cases like predictive maintenance, quality monitoring, and optimization without locking factories into proprietary stacks.

We’ll also discuss the ecosystem approach: how system integrators, hardware/IoT makers, and FOSS contributorscan collaborate to build interoperable connectors and accelerate deployments across India. The goal is simple: make digitization open, secure, affordable, and scalable so every manufacturer large or small can become AI-ready.
