Session Description

What Does ‘Good Enough Security’ Look Like for a Startup?

I want to propose this to spark discussions about cybersecurity in startups. Aimed more towards professionals than students.

How cybersec always lags behind due to lack of incentives and focus on business outcomes.
People can share stories and opinions about their observations from their experience.

Would like to propose discussion on the lines of things like:
- FOSS tools that you use for securing your work env
- Is shift left slowing the devs down in a startup?
- With everyone using AI tools, how to protect proprietary info from reaching the training datasets?

Key Takeaways

An ideal conclusion will be more like-minded people coming together and vibing over cyber-sec, all while gaining new insights across multiple industries and making new connections.

I feel this is not much of a FOSS topic but a generic developer topic in general that I think is critical, and Lucknow FOSS would be the perfect setup if a good number of professionals participate in it.

Not Sure
This seems like a good discussion to have. Especially as more and more Indian startups have to navigate the ever-chaging regulatory policies of the US/EU
