FOSSLA (Free and Open Source Software Ladakh) is a community-driven organization dedicated to promoting Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), open knowledge, and collaborative innovation across Ladakh. We bring together students, developers, makers, researchers, entrepreneurs, digital nomads, educators, and technology enthusiasts who believe in the power of open technologies to create positive impact.
As a community partner and FOSS United chapter in Ladakh, FOSSLA connects local talent with the broader open-source ecosystem in India and around the world while continuing to operate as an independent initiative focused on the unique needs and opportunities of the region.
Our mission is to create a thriving technology culture in Ladakh through meetups, workshops, hackathons, technical talks, mentorship programs, open-source contribution drives, and collaborative projects. We aim to make technology more accessible, encourage lifelong learning, and empower people to build, share, and contribute.
