The India FOSS Maintainer Summit 2026 is an annual unconference. We invite maintainers in the Indian open-source community to spend a day with their invisible colleagues and share stories and learning from their journey. The summit happens on 25th September, a day before IndiaFOSS (26,27 Sep) in Bangalore. A small team of volunteers will be vetting your application and approving them on a rolling basis, so the earlier you apply, the earlier you'll get a confirmation. Once you submit, you will receive a waitlist confirmation immediately. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and confirmations will happen on a rolling basis.

This is an unconference-style event, which means the schedule of sessions is decided upon by the attendees at the venue. There will be a few relevant sessions for Indian Maintainers (think sustainability, grants, burnout, community) but the bulk of the schedule will be left open for the attendees.

Reminder: This is an event for open-source and open-commons maintainers. As long as you are a core maintainer for a mid-large open-source or open-commons project, please apply. If you are unsure that you qualify - please apply.
