Organisations depend on Proprietary software and cloud services for their daily tasks , data hosting and communication such as email, cloud storage etc.

This talks focuses on the collection and combination of various free software tools that can be used by organisations be it non-profit, for-profits, collectives, etc.

By using such free software, any organistation should be able to

  1. Reduce cost
  2. Own their data
  3. Control their data.

This talk will highlight on

  1. how much cost can be cut down
  2. how much labor intense the job is
  3. practical implications
  4. resource and server requirements.

This talk will present alternative such as Nextcloud for cloud storage, Taiga for project and task management, Zulip for communication etc with detail on hosting, server requirement and all the personal experiences with these tools from a System Admin perspective.
