From Zero to Homelab: Building with Raspberry Pi

Rejected

Session Description

Homelabbing is a hobby where people, cosplaying as system admins, try to host services on servers they manage themselves. While many homelabbers have enterprise-grade servers in their rooms, you don’t always need one of those. In my talk, I hope to get people into homelabbing by using a very cheap computer: the Raspberry Pi. I will discuss what this hobby is all about, followed by how one can use the Raspberry Pi to:

  • Get into homelabbing and why a Raspberry Pi is an excellent choice.
  • Set up a Raspberry Pi to help us in our homelabbing journey.
  • Self-host some services on our Raspberry Pi homelab.

My goal for this talk is to show people they do not need an enterprise-grade server to get started with homelabbing and hopefully inspire listeners to start cosplaying as sys admins themselves. 🚀

Not sure about this one, seems a bit vague on details

Not Sure
Rejecting this proposal due to the common theme of building homelabs. Also, Balu Babu's other talk has more Aye's than this one has.
