Unleash the Power of Modern String Manipulation in Java with String Templates

Proposal status is Rejected
Session Description

String templates are a powerful new feature in Java that allows developers to create strings with embedded expressions that are evaluated at runtime. This can make code more readable, maintainable, and less error-prone. In the past, string concatenation was the primary way to achieve this functionality, but it could be cumbersome and error-prone. String templates offer several advantages over string concatenation, including:

  • Flexibility: String templates can be used to create complex strings with ease.
  • Security: String templates help to prevent SQL injection attacks and other security vulnerabilities.
  • Readability: String templates make code more readable and easier to understand.

This talk will provide an introduction to string templates in Java and discuss the benefits they offer over traditional string concatenation. We will also explore some of the common use cases for string templates and provide examples of how to use them effectively in your Java code.
