Caching your API in frontend using Tanstack Query

How often have you considered caching your API requests? and maybe a little more?

We'll try to cover the basics of caching with some of the following :

  • Building a client API architecture in the frontend.
  • When and when not to cache?
  • Query vs Mutations.
  • Update the state when cache updates
  • Don't waste a Read after a Create, Update and Delete operation
  • Using tanstack as a state management

We'll look and examples in React.

Tanstack is available for React, Vue, Angular, Solid and Svelte
