Building an open-source data platform

Session Description

Project Tech4Dev started building Dalgo a year and a half ago, combining the popular ELT tool Airbyte with the orchestrator Prefect and the SQL-build tool dbt.


Almost a year since our v1 launch, we have added a visual SQL workflow designer, an at-a-glance data statistics feature, and an integration with the data quality tool Elementary.


We continue to add clients to our platform and will share what we have learned in doing so.

Rohit Chatterjee is the Director of Engineering at Project Tech4Dev, which serves the social sector with open-source software and technology consulting. Rohit's primary responsibility is the ownership of their data platform "Dalgo".


Rohit's professional career began with writing C++ for a high-frequency trading firm in Greenwich CT in the early 2000s. After moving back to India he continued doing software development in various fields including IT Operations Analytics and online payments.
