Building FOSS Consumer App

# Building a global FOSS consumer app from India

Ente is an open source, end-to-end encrypted alternative to Google Photos: https://github.com/ente-io/ente

We're a team of programmers building Ente as a profitable consumer business from India. This session is about our story, the frameworks we've followed, the mistakes we've made and the path ahead.

We will discuss the challenges involved in shipping an MVP, gaining traction, fund raising, and the strategy behind open sourcing a consumer app.

The conversation will be useful to those thinking about starting a commercial open source company, or joining one.
