Your secret is safe with you

Ever pushed a .env or an api_key on a repo & spent next few hours removing & rotating it ? Once a secret is out, it can never go back. Contrary to popular thought, even a git force push does not remove your secret from the upstream (github?) - until the git gc (garbage collector) runs & people are watching every push.
