Introducing Frappe Suite - The productivity suite that doesn't suck!

Proposal status is Rejected
Session Description

Productivity apps are among the most widely used apps in the world, and they tend to be vendor-locked and not open enough. Frappe Suite changes all of that without any compromises.

Frappe Suite brings together all of Frappe’s open-source productivity apps into a unified, developer-friendly package.

In this talk, we’ll introduce Frappe Suite from a developer’s perspective: what it includes, how the apps fit together, and how developers can work with the suite in real-world deployments. We’ll cover the architecture behind the suite, how apps share common foundations such as authentication, permissions, metadata, APIs, etc., and what this means for developers who want to extend on this base.

This talk will also show how Frappe Suite can be self-hosted, giving technical folks more control over deployment, data, customization, and operations. Attendees will get a clear understanding of what it takes to run Frappe Suite in their own environment and where it fits.

Key Takeaways
  1. Understand what Frappe Suite is and which problems it is designed to solve
  2. Learn how the apps in Frappe Suite work together on a shared foundation
  3. Understand what self-hosting Frappe Suite looks like, and what control it gives teams over deployment, data, and operations
  4. Learn the benefits of adopting an open-source productivity suite
