Description

1. Introduction

Welcome to The Forge, a one-of-a-kind offline hackathon where innovation meets adaptability.

Over an intense 2 hours, participants will brainstorm, build, and innovate across multiple technologies — facing challenges that test not only their coding skills but also their ability to think fast and work smart under pressure.

This isn’t just another hackathon — it’s a forge, where ideas are tested by fire, and only the most adaptive teams emerge victorious. 🔥

2. Team Composition

  • Each team must consist of exactly 2 members.

  • Both members must know each other’s technical stack, as collaboration and flexibility will play a key role.

  • Teams must register with accurate details (name, contact, and tech stack).

  • No changes in team members are allowed after registration closes.

3. Format & Duration

  • Mode: Offline (on-site participation only)

  • Duration: 2 hours total

  • Participants will receive 8 diverse problem statements from various tech stacks (e.g., Web, AI/ML, App Dev, Data Science, etc.).

  • Problem statements will be revealed on the spot.

  • Each team can choose any two problem statements that align with their expertise or interest.

  • Both teammates will then work separately on their chosen problem statements.

Note:

  • Basic knowledge of Git & GitHub is mandatory.

  • No communication is allowed between teammates once coding begins — plan ahead and discuss your approach before starting!

4. Objective

Build innovative, functional, and well-presented solutions to the chosen problem statements within the limited time.

The Forge rewards creativity, teamwork, and adaptability — your ability to produce results under dynamic conditions will make all the difference.

5. Tools & Resources

Participants are free to use:

  • Any programming language, framework, or library of their choice.

  • Any AI model, API, or online resource (including tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.).

  • The Internet for documentation, tutorials, or research (but not for external communication with non-participants).

⚠️ Note: Participants are responsible for ensuring that their tools and models run locally or within the allowed network access during the event.

6. Judging Criteria

Projects will be evaluated by a panel of expert judges based on the following parameters:

  • Innovation (25%) – Creativity and originality of the solution.

  • Technical Implementation (25%) – Quality, functionality, and execution of the code.

  • Functionality (30%) – Effectiveness of the solution in achieving its goal.

  • Presentation & Demo (10%) – Clarity, communication, and demonstration of the project.

  • Adaptability (10%) – Ability to handle dynamic challenges during the event.

💡 Note: Use of Google Tools is encouraged and will earn participants bonus points.

7. Mentorship & Guidance

  • Mentors and volunteers will be available throughout the event for general guidance and clarifications.

  • They will not assist in coding or debugging, but can help with direction and understanding problem statements.

8. Submission Guidelines

Each team must submit the following for each project before the final deadline:

  • Source code (GitHub repository link or zipped folder)

  • A short README/documentation (problem statement, tech stack, features, challenges)

  • Presentation or demo slides/video (if applicable)

⚠️ Late submissions will not be accepted.

9. Code of Conduct

  • Respect all participants, mentors, judges, and organizers.

  • Maintain integrity and professionalism throughout the event.

  • Do not tamper with or interfere in other teams’ work.

  • Use of AI tools must be transparent and ethical — plagiarism or direct copy-paste from external sources may lead to disqualification.

  • Any form of harassment, cheating, or rule violation will result in immediate disqualification.
