Graphic Era Hill University
About
The FOSS Club at Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, is a student-driven community dedicated to promoting Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and open collaboration. As an affiliated chapter of FOSS United, the club aims to cultivate a strong culture of transparency, innovation, and community-driven development within the university.
The club provides a platform for students to explore, learn, and contribute to open-source technologies. Through workshops, hackathons, contributor sessions, and technical discussions, members gain hands-on experience in real-world software development and actively participate in global open-source projects.
Our focus is on building practical skills, encouraging peer learning, and fostering a mindset of sharing knowledge. The club also serves as a bridge between students and the larger FOSS ecosystem in India, enabling participation in national-level events, mentorship programs, and collaborative initiatives supported by FOSS United.
By nurturing curiosity, technical excellence, and community engagement, the FOSS Club strives to empower students to become skilled contributors and responsible technologists who believe in the principles of openness and collective progress.
