Approved
Session Description

This session covers the topic FPGAs(Field Programmable Gate Arrays), how FPGAs enable reconfigurable computing, application of FPGAs in industry and research, what problems can be solved using FPGAs - how they are better than ASICs, difference between ASICs(Application specific integrated circuit) and FPGAs, design and implementation. We will end with a mini demo highlighting FPGA toolkit- working with Efinity IDE, HDL(VHDL/Verilog), etc.

I'm Riya Bisht. I'm a final year Computer Science and Engineering student from Graphic Era University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. I enjoy hacking with new technologies and researching about systems. Currently, I am open-source contributor at Compiler Research Group under CERN-HSF organization as a part of Google Summer Of Code program. Previously, I've also given a talk on "Introduction to Unikernels: Unikraft" as a part of the core team at FOSS United Dehradun. During my free time, I spend time reading books on history of technology and computer science. Sci-fiction and the future of technology inspires me to pursue this path.

Didn't we already have a talk on FPGAs in the last meetup? If not I guess this is good to go
