How NixOS changed the way I think.

I have been working with Linux systems for more than 8 years, mainly with RHEL, Ubuntu, and CentOS. After years of managing systems manually and using Ansible, I started exploring Nix and NixOS—and it changed the way I think about system configuration.

In this talk, I will share my journey from traditional Linux administration to declarative configuration, using real examples from my experience. I will show how Nix can be used on Ubuntu and macOS, how it helps developers create reproducible environments, and how NixOS extends these ideas to system administration.

This is not a deep technical session. The goal is to break the myth that Nix is too difficult and show how a few simple concepts can change the way we think about systems.
