The FOSS Meetup at MIT Muzaffarpur, is a community driven technical event designed to empower students with practical open source skills and real world exposure. This meetup is being organized under the Bodhya initiative, in collaboration with FOSS United, with the core objective of strengthening the open source ecosystem among students in Bihar.
Hands on Workshop: Git & GitHub
The workshop will focus on Git and GitHub, which are essential tools for modern software development and open-source collaboration. Students will learn version control, how to use Git in real projects, GitHub workflows, collaboration, how tech teams work in the real world. This hands-on session will help students move beyond theory and gain industry relevant skills that are crucial for internships, hackathons, and professional software development.
Alongside the workshop, there will be an informative talk on Google Summer of Code (GSoC).
