Session Description

We write code in Python, JavaScript, Rust but life itself is written in a different language: DNA. And for the first time, an open source AI model can actually read it.

Evo 2 is a 40-billion-parameter genomic foundation model built by Arc Institute, trained on 9.3 trillion DNA base pairs across all domains of life from bacteria to humans. It is fully open source under Apache 2.0, runs on NVIDIA BioNeMo, and is accessible to anyone on GitHub.

In this talk, I'll walk through what Evo 2 is, how it works like a language model but for DNA, and what it can actually do predict whether a gene mutation causes cancer, generate synthetic chromosomes, and design entirely new proteins from scratch.

No biology degree needed. If you understand how LLMs work, you already understand the intuition behind Evo 2. This talk bridges the gap between the open source developer world and modern life science and shows why FOSS is now at the frontier of biology, medicine, and our understanding of life.

Key Takeaways

1. What Evo 2 is and why it matters, a beginner-friendly breakdown of genomic AI for developers

2. How DNA modeling works like a language model, single nucleotide tokens, 1M context window, sequence generation

3. Real-world applications cancer mutation prediction, synthetic genome design, protein function modeling

4. How to access and run Evo 2 yourself, GitHub, NVIDIA BioNeMo API, and open weights

5. Why open source is critical in life science, risks of closed models in healthcare and research

Harsha Vardhan Founder & Chief Scientist | HarVa Groups

Operating at the absolute frontier of theoretical physics, artificial intelligence, and global enterprise, my work bridges the gap between complex science and real-world impact. As the Founder and CEO of HarVa Groups, I lead a portfolio of companies dedicated to solving the hardest challenges of our time.

Executive Leadership
* HarVa Groups (Founder & CEO): The central engine of my vision. I direct multiple brands, ventures, and research initiatives that push the limits of industrial and technological capacity.
* Prism (Chief Scientist): Building the next era of processing power. We are designing the world's first universal hybrid super-quantum-classical Trinity computing architecture.
* Utopiq (Founder): A premier corporate advisory and consulting firm. We architect excellence, helping global businesses and educational institutions turn high-impact ideas into market dominance.

Scientific Frontiers
* The BRIDGE Framework: I developed a groundbreaking semiclassical model that unites quantum mechanics with Newtonian gravity. By solving for quantum-distributed masses, this framework proves the conservation of core universal laws and opens new doors to understanding dark matter and quantum states.
* Advanced Power Generation: Pioneering new energy frontiers by building hybrid power systems utilizing Adaptive Resonant Pulsed Current.

Artificial Intelligence & Computing
* ArivOS: A sovereign, highly efficient AI system. It orchestrates open-source language models to deliver elite reasoning capabilities directly to consumer hardware through test-time compute.
* Synapscape: A sophisticated, multi-agent simulation platform built to rigorously train and validate the neural networks behind full self-driving autonomous vehicles.

Decentralized Infrastructure

* The Hive-Net: Engineering the future of content delivery through browser-to-browser decentralized website hosting.
* CI/CD Supercomputer: Democratizing massive processing power via a free global grid computing network.

Breakthrough technology requires a profound intellectual foundation. I am the author of multiple books spanning deep tech, advanced finance, theoretical science, and philosophy. I write to provide the strategic and philosophical grounding for the systems we build tomorrow.
