India Dataset Platform (IDP) is a call to action that is part of a larger research report put out by MEITY that was put together to help shape India’s approach to AI. This session will give an overview of the report mainly focused on IDP, while introducing decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN). I will go over the current DePIN ecosystem and how this relates to IDP. I believe IDP could benefit greatly from connecting the CoE's that have been established for AI, IoT, and blockchain to DePIN. To create a much more equitable, decentralized, beneficial and robust digital public infrastructure ecosystem for India that can help propel the India Dataset Platform idea set out by MEITY.
