PinG-T : Phone Information Gathering Tool

Summary

An anti-spam and fraud detection technology, Similar to Truecaller, that identifies the bank-verified names of associated phone numbers in order to avoid spam and fraud.In contrast to Truecaller, where identities can be readily manipulated, PinG-T has the advantage that the corresponding names are legitimate because they have been validated by a bank.

Problem To be Solved

Calls and messages including fraud and spam are common. False calls and fraud messages frequently manipulate and annoy people. An effective method is needed to stop this.

Solution

Authentic data from various UPI suppliers is retrieved via a phone number verification mechanism that was created utilising a proprietary API, along with names that had been bank validated.

Advantages

 The retrieved data is Authentic.  The retrieved data is up-to-date as it is fetched in real-time.  Data cannot be manipulated individually.  As we use NodeJs as the framework, the data processing is fast.

Disadvantages

 The target must have a UPI ID registered, for this system to work.  The beta stage works only with specific Paytm registered UPI IDs but can be scaled in future.

Scalability

This project can be scaled to a large business model by rectifying the disadvantages and implementing the following features :  Email Lookup  Social Media Handles Lookup  Internet Profile Analysis

Business Model

1. Premium Services

PinG-T follows the freemium business model, just like many other programmes. It can be achieved by placing a monthly cap on the amount of searches each user is allowed to conduct under the free plan and offering unlimited services under the premium plan.

2. Advertisement

The biggest revenue stream of any organisations handling such a large amount of data is advertisements. The more views an application can assure any advertiser, the more it can charge them.

Legal impacts of the project

Legal difficulties are minor because the data we obtain is in the public domain. In addition, we also require users to agree to a privacy policy agreement before using the site.
